LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Family and friends are pulling together for Bub Johnson after last Saturday’s tragic farming accident that’s likely to keep the young man in the hospital for an extended time.

Tori Wilhoit is just one of the many friends of Bub and his wife Elizabeth showing her support.  She’s organized a raffle fundraiser for the Johnson family that is set for Saturday.

Some of the other folks helping out are Kate Parker.  She’s behind the sales of the stickers and shirts.  Amber Lloyd and Bridget Lawson are doing the hot dog meal and have helped tremendously with the raffle.

The event runs from 11 am until 4 pm at the former West La Follette School, the West End Community Center, tomorrow.  Raffles are two dollars each.

Wilhoit glowed when she talked about all the businesses and individuals who’ve donated products or services or gift cards.  She said that the total value of the raffle items is more than $2,000.

Gift certificates make up a lot of the prize stash.  Though there is one item sure to create a lot of interest; an Amish made rocking chair donated by Martin Wilson Funeral Home.

You do not need to be present.  Wilhoit noted that the drawing will take place on Facebook live just before 4 pm on Saturday.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 06/05/2020-6AM)
