JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) –   Campbell County Sheriff’s Deputy Cody Douglas answered a call about an assault on April 22. The victim alleged when she and Robert Scott Bright were at 168 Willie White Lane in Jacksboro, he had grabbed her by the hair  and proceeded to strike her in the left shoulder with his fist, according to a report from the sheriff’s department.

The victim had taken Bright to the grocery store and during this time he was verbally abusive and allegedly said he should have killed her a long time ago including her whole family.  According to the report, he was upset because she would not take him to the tobacco store, because she wanted to go home. It was at this time, Bright allegedly grabbed her by the hair. The victim told Douglas as she was leaving, Bright threw a plastic bottle of Mountain Dew at her car, but no damage was reported.
