A cloudy, chilly Saturday morning greeted LUB workers as they began their fourth day of work helping Chattnoogans regain the electricity.

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WLAF) – There’s no shortage of work for an eight-man crew from La Follette Utilities Board that is teaming with countless other utilities to restore power to Chattanooga and Hamilton County.  Tornado winds of 136 to 165 mph devastated the area on Sunday night, and here, nearly a week later, the recovery continues.  See LUB’s Eric Griffith’s video HERE.

The LUB crew is working commercial as well as residential areas of Chattanooga to restore power.

Hamilton Place Mall has a full parking lot, but not the kind of vehicles that usually park there.  The mall is serving as the staging area of utility crews that have come from all across the region to help after Sunday’s tornado.
