Cleadis Grant Smith, age 91 of LaFollette went home to be with the Lord Saturday, February 8, 2020.  He was a member and Deacon of Midway Baptist Church for 42 years, most recently a member of Liberty Baptist Church.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.  Cleadis retired from The United States Air Force after 22 years of service.  He served in Korea and Vietnam wars.  After retiring, he owned and operated Smith’s TV Service for many years.  Cleadis loved his church, the Lord, his family, and his friends.

He is preceded in death by wife: Dorothy (Ford) Smith, parents: Ben and Edna (Walters) Smith, sister: Marcina Myers, half-sisters: Mary Bullock and Leotha Fotta, brother: Dennis Smith, half-brothers: Truman Smith and Irvin Smith.

He is survived by son: David Smith of LaFollette, daughters: Brenda Boshears & husband Arthur, Patricia Voyles & husband Jerry, Dorothy McNeely & husband Gary, all of LaFollette, 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, faithful companion, his dog Brownie, a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 4-7 PM Wednesday, February 12, 2020 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home followed by funeral service at 7 PM with Rev. Tim Russell and Rev. Bill Raines officiating. Friends and family will meet 10 AM Thursday, February 13th at Martin Wilson Funeral Home to go in procession to Smith Cemetery for the 11 AM interment.
