Virginia “Jean” Ayers, of Jacksboro

Virginia “Jean” Ayers, of Jacksboro went home to be with the Lord on her 90^th birthday, Wednesday, December 25, 2019.  She was a loving wife of 50 years, loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  Jean enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by husband: Tillman Howard Ayers, parents: Jess and Ethel (Monday) Claiborne, brothers: James, Otis, Conley, and Jess Claiborne, Jr., sister: Margie Pierce.

She is survived by sons Earl Ayers of Cornelius, NC., Michael Ayers & wife Connie of Jacksboro, daughter Debra Farmer & husband Joe of Jacksboro, sister Wanda Newsome, grandchild Heather McKamey & husband Thomas, and great grandchild Landon James McKamey.

Visitation will be 11 AM -12 PM Friday, December 27, 2019 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home followed by funeral service at 12 PM with Rev. Hobert McCreary officiating.  Following funeral service, friends and family will go in procession to Campbell Memorial Gardens for interment.
