LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – On Dec. 6, Campbell County Deputy Brandon Gross went to Skyview Lane in LaFollette about Lauren Ashley Jones having an active warrant.    When Gross arrived, the homeowner said Jones was in the back bedroom of the home.

Gross spoke with Jones who said she had a violation of probation from Knox County. A check of the records revealed she did have a warrant from Knox County. When asked if she had anything illegal on her, she said she had a bag of methamphetamine and pulled it out of her pocket and placed it on the nightstand next to her bed, according to a report from the sheriff’s department.

Believing there were more illegal drugs in the residence, the homeowner allowed Gross to search the home. A search of Jones room revealed several bags of white powdered substance, along with another bag of crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine. Drug paraphernalia was also found throughout the room.

Jones, 30, 381 Wildwood Circle, LaFollette is charged with possession of schedule II-controlled substance, mfg/del/sell controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and hold for another agency.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 12/13/2019-6AM)
