LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Joe Ted Kitts is in custody.   As a steady rain fell, Campbell County Sheriff’s Corporal Travis Bostic and K-9 Officer Santos apprehended Kitts on West Walden Street just after 11 am Friday morning.

The foot pursuit began when  deputies were in the process of executing a search warrant earlier this morning at Kitts place of business, a tire shop on Old Jacksboro Pike in La Follette.  Kitts left the shop out a back door and took off down the nearby railroad tracks.

The 35-year old Kitts was taken into custody on outstanding warrants and evading arrest.  Other charges are pending.

The shop is near where the old road meets the four lane near the La Follette Church of God.  It’s where Kitts was arrested in September on a felony theft charge. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED 11/22/2019-11:30 AM)
