JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – A complaint about noises around a truck, ended with two arrests. Campbell County Deputy Anthony Mahar went to Hatmaker Ridge Road in Jacksboro to investigate a complaint about the property owner hearing noises around their truck.    When he arrived, he checked the truck and could not find anything . The individual then told Mahar they had two people staying with them in their home and asked if he would check them out.

When Mahar made contact with the male and female that were staying at the residence, he noticed a strong smell of marijuana. When he searched the room they were staying in, he found a pipe at the foot of the bed with a leafy substance that the female, who was identified as Lacie Marie Poteet, allegedly said was marijuana. Also found on the side of the bed that she was laying on, and had all of her belongings on, was a red grinder with a green leafy substance that she allegedly said was marijuana, a piece of an orange strip believed to be Suboxone that was hid behind Poteet’s pillow, half of a blue pill believed to be to Xanax in her wallet and a pink case with rope used for tying off, according to a report from the sheriff’s department.

Mahar then asked the male if there was anything else illegal in the room and said there was spoon with melted Suboxone that he was getting ready to use. While searching the room, Mahar found a little metal tin that had a clear baggy with a crystal-like substance the male stated was Meth that was hid behind the pillows on his side of the bed. There was also a little clear bag found on the dresser with three scales.

The male identified as Bryan Edward Wright, 40, 295 Hatmaker Ridge Road, Jacksboro is charged with felony possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of schedule III-controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, felony possession of drug paraphernalia and mfg/del/sell controlled substance.

Poteet, 25, 115 East Kentucky Avenue, La Follette is charged with possession of schedule IV-controlled substance, possession of schedule II-controlled substance, simple possession marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 11/18/2019-6AM)
