CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF) – A young La Follette man remains housed in the Campbell County Jail this morning on a $300,000 secure bond.  According to jail records, this was the first time 18-year old Cole Edward Williams has been arrested.  Caryville Officer Aaron Johnson conducted a narcotics investigation off information from a confidential informant on November 5.  Johnson details in his report that he came in contact with a green Dodge pick-up truck with  Cole Williams behind the wheel.  The officer notes that Williams was parked at Asbury Park where the informant said he would be.

Johnson made contact with Williams asking if there was anything illegal in the truck?  Williams allegedly said “he had a 20-dollar sack of meth that he tossed in the floor when the cruiser pulled up.”

Elsewhere, Johnson found a baggy of a crystaline substance in the truck and one in the pocket of Williams jacket along with additional resale baggies.  Williams allegedly said, “The meth was intended to be sold.”

Williams is due in court on Thursday.  He is charged with two counts of possession of scheduled II for resale, possession of drug paraphernalia and drug free school zone.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 11/13/2019-6AM)
