Red, white and blue touches were placed on the tree to honor veterans on Monday in La Follette.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Many activities are planned to honor area veterans  in the coming days.EVENTS:

Monday – 11am on the Jacksboro Courthouse lawn – Logan Hickman speaking, National Anthem by Carol MacDonald and Campbell County Honor Guard.
Monday – 1pm – Jellico Veterans Park – Logan Hickman speaking, National Anthem, from Kim Walden and American Legion Honor Guard

Monday’s La Follette Program Schedule at the V at Nevada Avenue and North 5th Street:

6 pm  Lighting of the Patriotic Tree at the Fleet Building

6:05 pm  The Campbell High Band will perform

6:10 pm  Presenting of the colors by the Campbell High JROTC

6:15 pm  La Follette Mayor Mike Stanfield will speak

6:30 pm  Sgt. Danny McCulley presents the veterans names

6:40 pm  Refreshments will be served

Sunday –  Nov. 17 – New Canaan Baptist Church at 10:45am Elk Valley.
It was all in an afternoon’s work for volunteers and city employees getting the tree ready to honor veterans on Monday evening.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 11/11/2019-6AM)
