JELLICO, TN (WLAF) – Campbell County Sheriff’s Deputy John Minor went to a home on Falls Branch Lane, Jellico about a burglary on Sept. 25.

When Minor arrived, he spoke with the victim who alleged her son, Daniel Hopkins, had broken into her garage and stole several items.

Minor took Hopkins into custody at the residence and Hopkins allegedly asked the victim if she got all the property back if she would drop the charges, according to a report from the sheriff’s department. Hopkins allegedly said that he broke the window in the garage to get in. When he got inside the garage, he took a Yamaha Grizzly four-wheeler, Craftsman air compressor, Craftsman toolbox, cherry picker, and a Honda CV500 Motorcycle.

Daniel Scott Hopkins, 25, 181 Fall Branch Lane, Jellico is charged with burglary, vandalism, theft of property under $999.99, two counts theft of property $1,000-$2,499 and two counts theft of property $2,500-$9,999. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 10/04/2019-6AM)
