LAFOLLETTE, TN., (WLAF)- On Sept. 21 Campbell County Sheriff Deputy Sgt Joshua Jeffers was called to Shoreline Drive. Once there he spoke with the victim, a witness and Christie Lynn Leach.  The victim stated that he and his girlfriend, Leach had broken up several hours before he called 911.

The victim alleged Leach went outside and pulled down one of the phones he was using on his carport for video surveillance. When the victim went outside and grabbed the phone from Leach this escalated the incident, according to a report from the sheriff’s department.
The victim stated Leach was beating on the door and then went onto the back porch and busted out the kitchen window. She then crawled into the home and ran down the hallway trying to get to the witness. During this time Leach was accusing the victim of cheating with the witness on her. The victim said he stepped between Leach and the witness’s bedroom door to prevent her from harming the witness. The victim alleged Leach began hitting him on the head several times with a flashlight causing a minor cut around the victim’s left ear.
Leach alleged the victim had been assaulting her all day and gave her Meth that caused her to relapse. Leach continued that the victim came outside while she was taking the phone down that the victim was using for video surveillance and began hitting her. She continued that the victim ran onto the back porch where they continued a physical altercation. She alleged that he slammed her head against the kitchen window causing the window to crack in several places. He then ran inside the home and locked the door. Leach said at this point she took a tiki torch and busted the kitchen window out and climbed into the home, because she wanted her phone back.
Jeffers was able to review the recorded surveillance from the victim’s phone. According to the video, the victim ran around the corner of the house, went into the home while being chased by Leach. Leach was unable to open the screen door and began hitting it with her hands and feet several times. She then went over to the back porch where she picked up a metal chair and attempted to bust the kitchen window. She then picked up a large metal tiki torch and successfully busted the kitchen window out in front of the video camera on the back porch. She then climbed through the window and ran down the hallway where the victim was on the phone with the 911 dispatchers in front of one of the cameras inside the home. She continued down the hallway where some type of physical altercation took place that the camera at the end of the hallway did not pick up well because of the lighting.
Leach was determined to the primary aggressor and placed under arrest.
Leach, 29, 172 Pebley Hollow Road, Speedwell is charged with domestic assault.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED 9/30/19 6 AM)
