JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – The Campbell County High School went on lockdown for nearly two hours this morning.  K-9 Units from the Loudon County Sheriff’s Office and the Clinton Police Department assisted the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office in a K-9 sweep of the school.  Next week’s scheduled routine K-9 sweep of CCHS had to be moved up due to a training schedule conflict with the Campbell County Sheriff’s and was conducted today beginning at 9:30 am and finishing up around 10:45 am.

CCSO Public Information Officer Justin Letner said, “It was a routine sweep of the school, the parking lot and entire campus.”  Given the amount of area to cover, assistance from Loudon County and Clinton was needed.

Letner said, “There were no major discoveries.  And what was found will be handled through the school’s standard disciplinary channels.”  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 09/19/2019-11AM)
