Ambulance makes its way through lane shift this morning

An ambulance running emergency traffic appeared to make its way through rush hour traffic without much trouble at 7:45 AM on Wednesday morning.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – The lane shift is in place this morning through downtown La Follette.  East bound travelers face the biggest shift which is to the left while it’s not quite as much of a change for those travelers heading west toward Jacksboro.  Phase I of the construction on the Central Avenue Bridge is taking place on the south lanes of the bridge on the Pierce Furniture, Wender Furniture, Smith Hardware,, Lindsay’s Carpet and Paint Center side of the street.

The refurbishing of the 98-year old bridge is expected to be completed in May of 2020.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 09/18/2019-8AM)
