NASHVILLE, TN (WLAF) — State Rep. Dennis Powers (R-Jacksboro in PHOTO ABOVE) has invited Tennessee Department of Veterans Services Commissioner Courtney Rogers and Deputy Commissioner Tilman Goins to House District 36 on Fri., Aug. 30, to speak with local veterans.

 Rogers and Goins will inform visitors about the many services Tennessee provides for our veterans and answer any possible questions members of the audience may have. The meeting will be held in the Community Room at Roane State Community College from 10 am to 11am.

“I am pleased to announce Tennessee Department of Veterans Services Commissioner Courtney Rogers and Deputy Commissioner Tilman Goins will be visiting our local community this week,” said Powers. “This informational meeting will be extremely helpful for our local veterans who may be unaware of any benefits they could be receiving or need an important question answered. I look forward to seeing Commissioner Rogers and Deputy Commissioner Goins on Friday along with many members of our community.”
