April Ray represented the Pregnancy Help Center

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – An estimated crowd of more than 700 people attended Tuesday night’s annual National Night Out held at Seargeant’s Park in downtown La Follette.  Around 40 vendors and agencies took part.

The La Follette Police Department was well represented.

Among all the goings on, officers from each law enforcement agency received a certificate of appreciation.  Representing Caryville was Det. Andy Davis; Jacksboro, Sgt. Franklin Ayers; Deputy John Minor with the Campbell County Sheriff’s Department; La Follette Police, Sgt. Charles Duff; Jellico, Paul Harmon.

Among the many vendors at National Night Out was Camelot Foster Care. (Left to right) Courtney Housley, Crystal Thacker and Nancy Bright. The trio distributed bags of school supplies at the event aimed to bring the community together. For more information on becoming a Camelot Foster Parent call 865-272-0013. Training classes are held in Jacksboro.

The night was not without some excitement.  Jacksboro Sgt. Franklin Ayers (right) arrested a person on an outstanding warrant. Judge Amanda Sammons (left) signed the papers for Franklin.
