LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – A call of an accident on Towe String Road led to a search for the driver.

Deputy John Minor answered the call about a car accident, but when he arrived he found that the driver had run from the scene and could not be located. Minor searched a nearby residence and found the driver, James Dylan Lane, at his grandmother’s house on Lawson Lane where he was placed into custody and taken back to the scene of the wreck.

Minor had EMS check Lane out at the scene since he had been involved in an accident where the car had rolled over on its top. He was cleared medically at the scene and was taken to the sheriffs department and read the implied consent law which he agreed to give a breath sample. The first sample tested at .181 and the second sample at .186.

Lane, 18, 887 Bethlehem Road, LaFollette is charged with under age consumption of alcohol and leaving scene of accident. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 07/12/2019-6AM)
