There was a huge tree that was attached to this massive root system

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – “Calls started coming in by 10:30 pm Thursday night,” said Campbell County Road Superintendent Ron Dilbeck.    Within minutes, road crews were headed to Glade Springs Road.  From the Glade Springs community to Deerfield to Bethlehem to Knox Hollow to Cedar Creek to Alder Springs to Powder Mill to Victory to Sugar Hollow, those are the latest sites where massive storms hit this month.

Heavy rainfall left remenants

Round three of intense storms hammered Campbell County starting around 10 pm Thursday night.  It was the third such storm to land a major punch in June.  The historic flood hit on Friday, June 7, followed by last Friday’s storm and now this.

Road closures and widespread power outages followed the storms.  In fact, Glade Springs Road was closed from last night until daybreak Friday.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 06/28/2019-2:30PM)
