Only a few LUB customers are still without service

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – La Follette Utilities Board General Manager Kenny Baird offers an update on power outages from the weekend’s flooding.    Baird said, “All power, but a few customers with damage on their side of the meter, was restored by 10:30 pm Saturday night.”  He adds that power and water systems were back to normal operations as of Sunday morning with the exception of Fox Den Lane.

The general manager said, “We are working desperately to get service restored, but due to the extent of the damages to the roads and ditches, it could be Monday or later before everyone’s water service is restored and back to normal.”

Crews were flushing water on Cave Springs Road and Davenport Sunday evening.

Baird emphasizes, “Please understand that we are doing everything possible to get water service restored. We understand your frustration.” (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 06/09/2019-6PM)
