Betty J. Boyd(Word) age 82 passed away on Wednesday May 22, 2019 at her residence. She was born on August 8, 1936 in Coal Creek Tennessee to the late Charles Word and Ida Belle Word(Lindsay). She was a long standing member of Main Street Babtist Church in Rocky Top. She lived in Toledo Ohio for 30 years and 52 years in Lake City Tennessee. Worked at Metcraft, Rite Aid in Toledo and a CNA in Toledo and Lake City for nursing homes for many years. She loved Football and Basketball and especially the Tennessee Girls Vols. Very active with her Great Grandchildren Austin Boyd and Alex Boyd that she was raising plus all their friends. They all called her Grandma. She loved cats and her beloved dog Princess.
Betty is proceeded in Death by Parents Charles Word, Ida Belle Word(Lindsay), sons Dee Dee Boyd and Terry Boyd, Ex-Husband Billie Jack Boyd.
Survived by Sister, Maggie S. Lively, Daughter-in-Law Vickie Boyd, Grandchildren, Billie Boyd and Nichole Boyd, Great Grandchildren Austin Boyd, Amber Sexton and Alex Boyd and Nephew Michael Lively, (Wife) Melissa Lively.
