LAFOLLETTE, TN  (WLAF) – Officers with the La Follette Police Department suspecting drug traffic activity converged on a home at 712 West Beech Street Tuesday afternoon just before 1:30 pm.   One person inside the home was arrested and taken to the Campbell County Jail at Jacksboro.  Officers arrested 35-year- old James Truitt of Long Hollow Road in La Follette at the Beech Street home.  Truitt is currently awaiting booking for a violation of probation and capias bench warrant, according to a jailer.

UPDATE:  Another person was arrested in conjunction with LPD’s visit to the home at 712 West Beech Street.  Jail records reveal that 30-year- old Corrine McKnight of Clearlake Drive- Jacksboro was picked up at the Family Dollar Store on a charge of theft of merchandise under $1,000.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 05/28/2019-2:30PM – UPDATE:  05/29/2019-3:30AM)
