LAFOLLETTE, TN  (WLAF) – The LaFollette Regional Planning Commission met Thursday afternoon at City Hall. The agenda consisted of two items.    First, East LaFollette Baptist Church and neighbor, Jack O’Neal, applied for a plot of correction. The two parties are looking to swap certain sections of land to square up the property lines and correct where buildings are overriding those lines. Each would be granting property to the other. The motion passed with the condition that a letter be drawn up by the church and signed by both parties involved due to Mr. O’Neal not being in attendance.

Secondly, Wanda Hurst came forward last minute and requested permission to use her home on West Walden Street for a home business. The business would be lawn mowing. She already has a space to store the mowers for now. No signs would be placed at the residence and no other structures will need to be built. Mark Hoskins approved with Eddie Wheeler making the second motion on the condition that if business increased and a new out building was needed, Hurst would return to the planning commission.
