Animal Shelter suspends intakes until June

Jacksboro, TN  (WLAF) – Campbell County Mayor E.L. Morton said the county animal shelter has suspended intakes until June 1.   “It’s due to two diagnoses of airborne viruses.  Our contractor, Friends of Campbell County Animals, is in close coordination with the UT Veterinarian School to determine the best way to return service to the public,” he said.

“At the advice of the UT Vet School, our contractor staff maintains a rigorous cleaning regimen while diverting intakes to other shelters,” Morton said.    (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 05/21/2019-6AM)
