Orval L. Rains, age 87 of LaFollette went home to be with Lord Wednesday, May 15, 2019.  He was a loving father and the greatest Papaw ever.  He was the oldest member of High Street Baptist Church, where he attended for many years.  He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by parents John Richard and Sarah (Crabtree) Rains, brothers William Rains, Henry Rains, J.C. Rains, and Kenneth Rains.

He is survived by sons Nathaniel Rains of Jacksboro, Joel (Rinda) Rains of LaFollette, daughters Kimberly Renee Rains of Jacksboro, Tammy (Larry) Inman of LaFollette, sister Brenda Givens of London, Kentucky.  Grandchildren Daniel (Gail) Rains, Joanna Davis, and Channel Cook.  Great grandchildren Lydia Davis, Blake Smith, Austin Rains, and 1 great-great grandchild Nyla Mitchem.  A host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitation will be 5-7 PM Friday, May 17, 2019 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home followed by funeral service at 7 PM with Rev. James Adkins officiating.  Friends and family will meet 1:15 PM Saturday, May 18, 2019 to go in procession to Willoughby cemetery.  Campbell County Honor Guard will be in charge of interment with military honors.
