The top photo was snapped when wind gusts were at 43 miles per hour on Sunday afternoon.  Though the highest winds topped out at 51 mph  in Campbell County yesterday.

Caryville Fire Chief Eddie Hatmaker shares this photo from Exit 141 on I-75 at Caryville.  The chief said he’s hoping the sign holds out until Monday when the sign company can tend to the leaning Shell sign.

LUB reported spotty power outages mainly due from the high winds.  At 5:30 pm Sunday, there were 312 customers without power.

The wind blew so much that it helped keep storms from getting organized well enough to become strong to severe.  Though winds did knock down a few trees and scatter lots of debris around in some areas of Campbell County.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 04/15/2019-6AM)
