Late on April 3, 2019, a Scott County jury found Christopher Nichol Cox of Huntsville, Tennessee, guilty of Rape of a Child, 81 counts of Aggravated Sexual Battery, and Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child.Scott County Criminal Court Judge E. Shayne Sexton revoked Christopher Nichol Cox’s bond and ordered that the Tennessee Department of Correction conduct a pre-sentence investigation. Christopher Nichol Cox’s sentencing hearing has been set for May 13, 2019. This case was investigated by the Scott County Sheriff’s Office and the Department of Children’s Services. The staff at the Children’s Center of the Cumberlands, including their facility dog Lucia, assisted throughout the prosecution of this case.
