Wayne Farmer, age 66 of LaFollette, Tennessee, surrounded by his family went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 14, 2019. He was of the Baptist Faith and a member of East LaFollette Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his father LeJune Farmer, grandparents Joe & Edith Farmer, Gertrude & Sandy Cummings, and many others who passed before him.

He is survived by mother Mildred Farmer, son Wayne & Tara Farmer, daughter Tina & Dewey Pierce, all of LaFollette, Samantha Hubbard, Sabrina Hubbard, and Sara & Zach Cooper, all of Jacksboro, 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, brothers Phillip & Nelly Farmer of LaFollette, Joe & Debbie of Jacksboro, and Scott Farmer of LaFollette, sister Rebecca & Don Fields of LaFollette, niece Heather & Wendell Boshears, nephew Donavan & Ashley Fields, a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and family who are mourning his passing.

Visitation will be 6-8 PM Friday, March 15, 2019 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home followed by funeral service at 8 PM with Rev. Ray Graham and Rev. H.R. Douglas officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:15 AM Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Martin Wilson Funeral Home to go in procession to Woodlawn cemetery for 11 AM interment.  Larry Heck will be officiating graveside service.

  1. I just found out about Wayne’s services. I am so so sory for our loss! He was one of my classmates. Wayne was always so friendly & funny. He loved his family ! I think Jesus took him home so he would get better! God knows what is best for us, it’s not always what we want, ,but we are not in charge
