Sunday morning at 2 am is time to switch from standard time to daylight saving time.     Bottom line is we lose an hour of sleep and gain more daylight at the end of the day.  That means we lose daylight to start the day.

Sunrise on Saturday will be at 6:55 am.  After the time change, Sunday’s sunrise will be at almost 8 am (7:56 am).  That’s the down side.

The upside to the time switch is extra daylight in the evening.  Saturday’s sunset is 6:38 pm, and then it stretches to 7:39 pm on Sunday night.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 03/08/2019-6AM)
