More than 370 people will fill the Ball Farm Event Center tomorrow evening as the Pine Mountain Longbeards (Tennessee) hosts its annual fundraiser.  PML President Billy Ball said Saturday’s 18th annual event is “pretty well sold out – it’ll be our biggest crowd yet.”

Each year the National Wildlife Turkey Federation and the Longbeards sponsor events such as Jakes Day, the Wounded Warriors Turkey Hunt, youth hunts and Turkey Hunters Care Food Box Distribution. A portion of tomorrow night’s proceeds will go to support those programs.

Ball expressed his thanks and appreciation to the community for its support. “They give us a lot of overwhelming support,” he said. This chapter is the largest in Tennessee and the ninth largest in the country, according to the latest numbers. The rankings are based on an array of categories including, but not limited to, the number of events, members and money raised, according to Ball.
