Caryville Fire Chief Eddie Hatmaker tells WLAF that fuel is leaking from the tanker truck, and plans are not to close both northbound lanes.  However, the northbound side may need to be temporarily closed during the clean up proccess.

The chief recommends travelers to take Highway 116 out of Rocky Top or another route northbound around the crash and spill scene.  He’s not sure when the accident site will be cleared.  It will likely take several hours.

There are no injuries.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 02/15/2019-9PM-PHOTOS COURTESY OF CARYVILLE FIRE CHIEF EDDIE HATMAKER)
