The Drug Enforcement Administrtation (the DEA)  carried out what the DEA terms “a lawful search warrant” soon after 9 am on Thursday morning at the Suboxone Clinic at Jacksboro.  Officials with the DEA tell WLAF that once the adminstration is able to obtain all it came to the clinic to  seize, the clinic will reopen.  The reopening could be today or Friday according to the DEA.

  1. Don’t even know why so box one is used to help get off drugs when it’s a drug within itself.. honestly it doesn’t need to be reopened

    1. You may not have ever had a loved one experiencing addiction, but it is not something the patient can control. These patients are just like anyone with any kind sickness. This clinic helps these patients take back control of their lives. Do you feel it is okay for doctors to give patients 10-20 opiates a day?? As if there were no repercussions to their actions? The body becomes dependent on that medication. Therefore, Suboxone comes in. Yes, it is a drug replacing a drug. As someone who does not battle addiction myself, I have very close loved ones who do and I would much prefer a loved one take a piece of Suboxone to stop their cravings and allow them to function and work with no issues, RATHER THAN loved ones knocked out, passed out, unable to function. Please, before judgement, please learn some facts and gain some knowledge on exactly how this medication works. This medicine is such a miracle for most.

  2. Yes lord let’s get the only place in town that is there to help the ones that actually want off the pills to help them get off . But we will keep all the other pill mills in town open that just give pain pills no treatment to get you off the pain pills they just get you on them because god forbid someone quits pills and needs help doing so , well they are trash . You people in this county are so ignorant, most talk big shit because they have never been addicted to anything and the ones that are and are decent people that got caught up in this mess is to ashamed to say anything regarding this issue ! I say screw all you hypocrites that want to get on the internet and put everyone down for these things but your the first people at these places dropping of your son/daughter/cousin/sister etc etc.but hey I guess that’s all ok because it’s little Timmy or little Susie your kid that is so innocent, it all these damn dealers in this town , I got news for ya “ your kids are no better that anyone else’s kid “ they will make mistakes” ! Know I’m sure they are folks going here to sell what they get and that’s where the real police work comes in and it’s why you never hear of that because it’s a lot of work to investigate and heck we all know these cops are to busy getting drunk next to Katie’s in LaFollette and running through houses drunk then getting your wife to take the fall for you (such a self absorbed way to get out of something) !!! This place is doomed if something don’t change we need to help each other and not put everybody in the “they are trash group” then write them off but instead give these people hope also lift up the stories like Scott Smith and ones that have “Made it through” to help show the addicted that there is hope and that we care instead of acting like they are leper’s .But hey who am I but just a regular citizen……

  3. Suboxone can really help people if your willing to help yourself, if you think you get high off it your wrong. Suboxone has brought alot of people a long way from where they were. No all probelms are not solved, but it definelty helps in the right direction

  4. You have obviously never been addicted to pain pills. Technically, suboxone is classified as a drug but if you are an opiate addict, it does NOT get you high. Using opiates for a period of time actually changes the chemistry in your brain. Suboxone gives you time for your brain to heal AND change your way of living. Some people abuse suboxone and that’s why it’s gotten a bad reputation. If used correctly, it greatly increases an addicts chance of success. Suboxone saved my life!! And, I went to rehab 4 times and went to AA or NA meetings EVERY night AND worked the 12 steps. I really tried and did what they tell you to do but still relapsed. I haven’t had a pain pill in 3 years thanks to suboxone. The recovery community is starting to endorse suboxone too. So, don’t say anything if you don’t know what you’re talking about! Suboxone is a miracle drug that saves people’s lives!

  5. Dont be so quick to judge. Dea is just making sure they are running a tight ship. And making sure all the patients are doing what they are supost to and making sure the clinic is enforcing the rules. It only works if the patient is really serious about coming off drugs. This medicene saved my life. I am still an addict and will always be an addict. But now i have my life back. Me and my wife both have held a job for 3 years and have two vehicles payed for and we are closing on a new home in a few months. You do not get “high” from suboxone. You will feel its effects the first week or so untill it builds up in your system. After that it will only take away the withdraws. And it gives the addict a 2nd chance to get thier life back togather. When you have hit rock bottom and there is nothing left but to just die. When you have betrayed everyone that loves you and you dont have anyone anymore all you want to do is push your limits until you over do it. With suboxone there is hope for an addict. After you get your life back you start getting trust back from everyone that you have betrayed. Then you have people rooting for you because they see the different lifestyle your living now that you’re not chasing a pill every day. Now the addict can face his or her demons when they feel more confedent they have thier life back togather already. The pple that love you will help now because you have showed them you can get your life back togather. Now that you have your life back togather all you have to do is go to a 90 day rehab or maybe 6 month rehab to kick the habit for good. No addict will want to go to rehab if they dont have nothing to come out to. But when they know they do have a life to come back to. It puts things in a better perspective. So dont be so quick to judge. There is good that can come out of these clinics. If the clinic isn’t doing it for the right reason then yes shut them down. Just because 1 out of 10 people only go to the clinic to get thier meds just to turn around and sell them. Doesnt mean we should close all the clinics. Because the other 9 of 10 pple are really trying to get thier life back togather. “If you dont get high from suboxone why is thier a market for it on the street” well that is because when an addict wakes up and has to go to work but he is in withdrawal that person only has two choices. And taking nothing at all is not an option for an addict that has to go work for 8 or 10 hour shift. You can buy a 80 dollar pill and get high or i can buy a 20 dollar pill or strip or whatever and still go to work not sick. I wont be high but i can get to my workplace and give them a honest days work. Thats why there is a market on the street. You can get well cheaper than you can get high. If your only buying suboxone on the street then you are ready for recovery. Because your not worried about getting high anymore. You just want to be well. And be a productive member of society. Thats wanting recovery. And wanting it is half way there if you ask me.
