Campbell County left with a win and a loss from Karns High on Tuesday night. The Lady Cougars played everyone that suited up. Skylar Boshears scored all of her 15 points in the opening quarter and spent much more time watching the game than playing in the game. Sophomore Kayleigh Jordan led all scorers with a career high 17 points. The 85 to 17 Campbell win improves the Lady Cougars to 5 & 0 in District 3 games keeping them atop the league standings. In all games, CCHS is 10 & 0.
In the boys game, the Cougars stayed close to the Beavers. However, it was Karns pulling away late to claim a 63 to 56 win dropping CCHS to 0 & 5 in the district and 0 & 12 in all games.
William Blount is next for the Cougars and Lady Cougars. Monday’s home game, non-district, with Blount was postponed until Thursday night.
