A recent arrest ended in a foot chase between a suspect and a Campbell County Sheriff’s Deputy.

Last week, according to reports, Deputy Josh Jeffers was allowed to enter a home on Duncan Lane at Duff in reference to an outstanding arrest warrant on 38-year old Ronnie Elvis Albertini.

Jeffers outlined in his report that soon after he went inside, he spotted Albertini going out a window. He told him to stop, but Albertini didn’t.  He continued out the window.  Jeffers then ran out the front door and into the back yard running after Albertini across a small wooden bridge, over a creek and to the back of Sled Creek Church.  Jeffers caught Albertini after about a 100-yard chase.

Initially, Albertini was wanted for aggravated robbery, auto burglary and theft of property between $1,000 and $2,499.  After the incident, evading arrest and resist stop frisk halt search were added to his charges.

Albertini remains in the county jail this morning on a $110,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Monday, December 17.  This was his 12th booking. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 12/11/2018-6AM)
