Last week, members of the Campbell County Rural Fire Service, La Follette Rescue Squad and La Follette Fire Department trained together on vehicle extrication.    Crews practiced new techniques on how to safely stabilize a vehicle and extricate someone in an automobile accident.

The exercise took place Monday and Thursday nights with classes running from 6 pm to 10 pm at Campbell County Rural Fire Station 1 in east La Follette.  The goal was to conduct the class at night so the crews would have to set up lights since working at night is a lot different than during the daytime.  Hazards are harder to see at night.

The crews are always working to serve our community better.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 12/10/2018-6AM)
