Paul Tackett, age 80, of Lake City, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at his residence. Paul was born January 8, 1938 in Anderson County, Tennessee to the late Conda and Mary Alice Duncan Tackett. Paul was a member of Fratersville Baptist Church. He was a carpenter by trade and a cabinet maker. Paul enjoyed hunting, fishing, and U T sports.  He served his country from 1958 to 1960 in the United States Air Force.  In addition to his parents, Paul is preceded in death by his brothers: John, Lewis, Carl, Clarence, and Arvil Tackett; and sister: Hazel Duncan.

Paul was known by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren as “Pops”.  He was a kind and gentle soul with a contagious chuckle who will be missed by all his family and friends.

 

Visitation: 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Monday, October 29, 2018 at Hatmaker Funeral Home in Lake City.

Funeral Service: 8:00 PM, Monday, October 29, 2018 at Hatmaker Funeral Home in Lake City, Tennessee with Rev. Randy Norton and Rev. Brian Thomas officiating.

Family and Friends will meet at Hatmaker Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 1:15 PM to go in procession to the Island Ford Baptist Church Cemetery in Lake City for a 2:00 PM graveside service with Military Honors presented by the Campbell County Honor Guard.
