Prior to the Price Era, Campbell County had only beaten Clinton twice in 30 tries.  Needless to say, it wasn’t much of a rivalry.  That is until the Price twins made The Hill their home.

Since the matching cotton tops arrived, it’s been a rivalry.  And what a rivalry it has been.

A one-point come from behind last minute win in 2013 (41-40) and then a year later another 41-point game in a 41-34 victory.  The theme continued in 2015 with a 41 to 35 overtime thriller.  The 2017 match-up also went the way of the Cougars in another 41-pointer at 41-34.

Campbell won in 2011 28-23 and 35 to zero in the Cougars first shutout ever of Clinton in the 2016 season.

Overall Campbell, under the direction of Head Coach Justin Price, has  won six of the first seven clashes heading into tonight’s 38th meeting in a series that dates back to 1975 -the first year of Cougar Football.  The series still leans far in Clinton’s favor at 8 & 30.
