Isber (L) and Leach make a play
CCHS senior Julia Isber scored the Lady Cougars first in the first half though Campbell County went into halftime trailing 2 – 1. In the second half, Lady Cougar Olivia Branam scored at the fourteen-minute mark. With ten-minutes to go, senior Samantha Lasley scored to give Campbell the lead. Senior Drew Leach sealed the deal with five-minutes remaining to boost CCHS out to a 4 – 2 edge. Cumberland Gap could not recover.
“It’s been a tough year,” according to coach Bryan Horton. The Lady Cougars lose three outstanding seniors in Isber, Lasley and Leach though a strong group returns.
