Last Thursday’s 35 to 21 loss to the Panthers at Powell is now a win for the Campbell County Cougars.   In a letter CLICK HERE to Powell High School, TSSAA Executive Director Bernard Childress outlines why Powell’s football team is being forced to forfeit its six 2018 wins.

This means that the Cougars are now 3 & 3 in all games and 1 & 1 in region games.  Though Campbell Coach Justin Price tells WLAF Sports that it gives his team new life where the post season race is concerned, there is still a lot of football left to play.  Price told his team this afternoon that they need to keep playing and remain focused, because the forfeits also give some other region teams new life.

Campbell hosts Karns Friday night at 7:30 pm.  Coverage begins at 7 pm over the WLAF – B & M Tires Sports Network.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 10/04/2018-4:30PM)
