The late Mike Orick is being honored and remembered around Campbell County at every school.     Orick, who passed away suddenly in the spring, served on the Campbell County Board of Education for multiple terms and was chairman of the BOE on several occasions.

BOE Chairman Crystal Creekmore explains that the last group of commissioners purchased the plaques to honor Mike, because the last commission meeting he attended he helped a young man address the commissioners about bullying.  She goes on to say, “I remember him calling me after that meeting, and he was so determined to come up with a solution to stop bullying.”  Creekmore began delivering the plaques on Wednesday morning.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 09/28/2018-6AM)
