Timing was just right this morning for Campbell County School Bus 6.    Just right to be momentarily held up.  As opposed to being involved in a potentially dangerous situation.

Jessie Stalknaker, the driver of Bus 6, called WLAF a few minutes before 7 am to tell us to pass along word that the bus is going to be late.  Very late.  Jessie explained that she drove down into Yoakum Hollow to pick up more passengers.  She said that the run down into the hollow took about three minutes, and when she came back up, there was a tree over the road.  That’s where the delay came.

WLAF got in touch with Road Superintendent Ron Dilbeck.  He and his crew hustled out and cleared the tree putting Jessie, her passengers and Bus 6 back on the road well before 7:30 am.    (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 09/25/2018-8:30AM-PHOTO COURTESY OF RON DILBECK)
