Fall is right around the corner and the lake water is receding, hopefully, which means that it is time for another Norris Lake Cleanup. We are excited to announce that our team is growing and so many people are interested in helping that we can’t conduct the cleanups on just one Saturday anymore. Therefore, there are three Saturdays that you will have the opportunity to help. Here are the locations, times and additional details:
• Waterside Marina, Andersonville (Anderson/Union Counties)-September
29th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Meet under the tent near the marina/ramp area. The cleanup will involve roadside cleanup and lake shore cleanup. Lunch will be provided.
• Lone Mountain Shores (Claiborne County)-September 22nd from 9 a.m.
to 1 p.m. Lunch will be provided.
• Twin Cove Marina (Campbell County)-October 6th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Volunteers will be cleaning up the lake shore near the launch points and on nearby islands. Boat transportation will be provided but if you have boat, you are welcome to bring it. You are also encouraged to bring a life jacket it you have one.

Bags will be provided by the Tennessee Valley Authority at all of the locations. Participants are encouraged to bring gloves and wear tennis shoes, boots or other shoes with tread because the lake banks are slick and muddy (clay muddy). Each participant will receive a free T-shirt or baseball cap.

To save time the day of the cleanup, feel free to visit http://www.norrislakeproject.com/upcoming-cleanups/ to print off and fill out the registration form.
