Larry Jones continues recovering this morning at a Knoxville hospital after being struck by a vehicle on Friday.   Officials tell WLAF that Jones aka Flash, who starred on the 1986 Wynn state tourney basketball team, was hit on the four lane in La Follette in front of the IGA around 6 pm on Friday evening.  The 49-year old man was flown out by a med chopper.

It was also learned that Jones suffers from multiple broken bones and faces a lengthy recovery process.  He remains in good spirits.

This is the third time Jones has been hit over the years while walking.  The previous times were not this serious.

If you travel the four-lane, you likely have seen Jones walking from his home at Davis Chapel to as far down the road as the Walmart.  He suffers from Huntington’s disease.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 08/05/2018-7:45PM)
