ArrestsBruce Donald Meriwether, age 74 of Jacksboro passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2018.
He was a member of the Indian Creek Baptist Church. Bruce was a loving Christian, husband, grandpa, and friend. He was an avid weight lifter. He worked for 20 years as a Police Officer in Flint, Michigan where he retired.
He is preceded in death by parents Donald and Goldie (Copeland) Meriwether; brother
Lanny Meriwether.
He is survived by wife JoAnn Meriwether of Jacksboro; son Mick Meriwether of Jacksboro; daughters Kimberly Colter & husband Scott of Clemmons, North Carolina and Kelly Goss & husband Ron of Kernersville, North Carolina, brother Robert Meriwether of Largo, Florida; grandchildren Marissa Colter, Ivy Goss, Lily Goss; several nieces, nephews; a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside service will be 11 AM Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Indian Creek Cemetery with Pastor Bill Wilson officiating.
