6 pm at West La Follette School

   WLAF and Gray Insurance present an evening of meeting some of the candidates who will be on the August ballot.  It’s this Thursday evening beginning at 6 pm.

   You have the option to attend the event in person, listen to it live on WLAF AM 1450 and FM 100.9, and watch it televised live on WLAF-TV 12 and 1450wlaf.com.

   The Thursday night time table goes like this:

6 pm- Welcome

6:05 pm -*County Clerk Candidates will be given two minutes to introduce themselves to the audience

6:10 pm- *Register of Deeds Candidates have two minutes to introduce themselves to the audience

6:30 pm- *County Trustee Candidates will be given two minutes to introduce themselves to the audience

6:35 pm- Sheriff‘s Candidates debate starts.

7 pm- County Mayor’s Candidate debate begins.

   County Clerk candidates include incumbent Alene Baird and Todd Nance.  Those who have qualified to run for Register of Deeds are Gary Berry, Greg Cross, Brittany Miller Foust, Pete Huckaby, Beverly Stanfield Hall, Thomas Hatmaker, Ron McClellan, Patrick Silcox, June Turner and Johnny Vanover.  Incumbent Dormis Miller is retiring and not seeking reelection.  Incumbent Monty Bullock and Tommy Overton are running for County Trustee.  There are two sheriff’s candidates, incumbent Robbie Goins and Jimmy Jeffries.  Mayoral candidates include Aaron Evans, Mike Freeman, Jack Lynch, incumbent E.L. Morton, Brian Younce, and David G. Young.(
