LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- Volunteer Highway Supply was busy Thursday laying down the roadway marking on Beech street from east to west.
Left to right are Erik Musser, Ryan Purtlebaugh, Chris Elliot and job foreman Zane Hall.
The project included center lane striping along with stop bars and pedestrian crosswalks. Once these guys hit the streets it’s game-on as they work through the traffic getting the paint down no matter if it’s lane striping, stop bars or crosswalks.
This is the laying out of the crosswalk pattern at West Beech and 9th Streets.
It was plain to see these guys had a game plan. This wasn’t job foreman Zane Hall first rodeo.
It was a group effort to make sure everyone stays safe. Notice the steam coming from the stop bar being laid down. This is thermal plastic heated to 450 degrees and then poured.

The plan was to finish the Beech Street job in one day, Thursday.
The crew is getting the equipment ready to start laying down the plastic stop bars and crosswalks. Ryan Purtlebaugh said, today’s (Thu.) weather is perfect to put this material down.
