JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Watch Coach Justin Price’s pre-game interview ahead of Friday’s region football game with the Panthers at Lenoir City.
“Yes, these region games carry a little more weight, and we only get four of them this season. So when you have that few, they carry even more weight,” said Price.
The coach adds that Campbell had a very competitive game with Lenoir City last year on Reynolds Field after his team jumped out to an early lead; a 27-23 Campbell win. “They present a real challenge with their unique offense, the Wing-T, almost single wing, but our players will be ready to defend it,” said the 13 year head coach. He goes on to say that the offense doesn’t really have a quarterback in the set.
“As Landen goes so do we. He knows that. We know that. But not to add pressure, I expect a big night from our quarterback (Landen Hensley), and he’s had a good season. Our young receivers continue to develop and gain confidence,” said Price.
Campbell is looking to keep Lenoir City’s offense off schedule. “We’re going to work to get them in third down and long situations, and all 11 of our defenders need to be involved on every play,” said Coach Price.
