JELLICO, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF)- Leadership Campbell County 2026-27 class had a wonderful day in Jellico on September 17th. September was Jellico Day for Leadership members.
Our day started out with the Chamber Coffee Connection hosted by United Cumberland Bank (very top photo). Then, we headed north to tour South Eastern Kentucky Rehabilitation Industries, which offers employment opportunities to individuals with disabilities in many Kentucky locations and Jellico.
Next, the class visited The Connection Center to learn about Springs of Life Network and the variety of ministries they offer to meet the needs of those in poverty, addiction, homelessness, and other marginalizing life circumstances.
We were warmly welcomed at Jellico Public Library for lunch catered by Vanessa Dupuy and sponsored by Peoples Bank of the South. Librarian Mark Tidwell shared artifacts, photos, and a wealth of knowledge about Jellico’s history.

Our afternoon was spent with a short hike at Indian Mountain State Park on their new trail (above photo). Then, we made our way back to downtown for delicious refreshments at Solid Grounds Coffee Shop (photo below).

The day concluded with a stop at the Tennessee Welcome Center on I-75 to check out all the resources they have to offer the many tourists who visit our area (photo below).

Thank you to all those who hosted our Leadership class and made it a wonderful Jellico Day 2026! (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-09/17/2026-6AM-PHOTOS SUBMITTED)
