Ricky Lawson, born October 9, 1957, age 68, of Caryville, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2026 surrounded by loved ones. He was a husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. Rick was a member of Little Cove Creek Baptist Church since 1967. He retired from Roger’s Group in 2025 after 48 years of service. Rick will be dearly missed by so many who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by parents, Andrew Jack and Effie “DeeDee” Lawson; siblings, Ronnie Lawson, Kevin Lawson, David Lawson; brother-in-law, Gene Dotson; infant nephews, Corey and Andrew Lawson.
He is survived by: wife of 50 years Jamie Lawson; son, Heath (Kristina) Lawson; grandson, Ryland; sisters, Jacklyn (Loyd) Claiborn, Janiffer (Joe) Tackett, Hope Dotson; brothers, Warren (Karen) Lawson, Anthony (Tina) Lawson; special great nephew, Hayden Lawson; nephews, David Lyn Lawson, Jordan Lawson, Gage Lawson, Casey Tackett, Derek Claborn, Brandon Claborn, and Tim Dotson; nieces, Jancie Adkins, Jessica Holden, Courtney Dodson, and Tracy Shepperd; and other family and friends.
His beloved dog “Ella”.
The family will receive friends at the Leach Family Funeral Home and Cremation on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 from 5-7pm with the funeral service to follow at 7pm, with Rev. Danny Lawson officiating.
