Air Force veteran Campbell Thames

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- Air Force veteran Campbell Thames was among the attendees at Friday's Campbell County Memorial Day Honor Guard Program held in the auditorium at La Follette City Hall.

Thames came out to honor the U.S. military personnel who died in service, in particular Campbell County military personnel. He was also there to support his daughter Addison who sang the National Anthem at the ceremony.

Addy Thames, daughter of Veteran Cambell Thames, sang the National Anthem.

When asked what this holiday means to him, emotionally, he said "It reminds me of what Dan (Spurlock, the featured speaker) was saying about how good we have it (in America). I wish we didn't take it for granted."
