'We won't be issuing any burn permits until further notice'- La Follette Fire Chief Jimmy Pack

Increased fire danger expected later today for Campbell County, all of eastern Tennessee and our southwest North Carolina counties. Low relative humidity values, gusty winds, and dry conditions will lead to difficult to control fire activity if one were to start. Please refer to your local burn permitting authorities on whether you may burn outdoors today.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- A mainly rain-free next several days are on tap. Though the dry surface conditions and gusty southwest winds today, will pose an increased threat for fire danger conditions this afternoon and evening.
